Nostalgia 1720
THEN & NOW
THEN
The Farm House surrounded in history dates back to the original Plantation of 1720. Both Simon Mathew and his brother-in-law Simon Butler were Welsh emigrants who settled in the town of Society, later known as Barndtsville, Whitehallville, and finally Chalfont. New Britain Township was named in their honor.
We continue to preserve the original 18th Century built fireplaces, hardwood flooring, exposed wood beams, broad wood trim, wainscoting and a full bar. The beautiful and intimate open concept design space in the farmhouse is used for various events, bridal and groom suites or for after event cordials and international coffee bar.
